Woodlands Bodyshop is a well established, "husband and wife" owned independent body repair business, which prides itself on the very high level of quality workmanship and customer care it is able to offer.
Using the latest advancement in body repair and paint technology, we are able to repair all makes and models, irrespective of age or condition, to replicate the finish achieved when the car was new.
We are so confident of the high level of repair that we guarantee our workmanship for 5 years.
We specialise in the following vehicle makes:
Audi, BMW, Citroen, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes, Mazda, Mini, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault, Saab, Seat, Skoda, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Vauxhall, VW, Volvo... to name but a few.
We are equipped to deal with any size repair, from a little scratch on a mirror cover to a major accident repair, and are able to do work privately (with the customer paying for the repairs) or for any insurance company. It is worth noting that some insurance companies will try and direct you to one of their own body centres where they control the costs. Our experience shows these organisations generally offer a very impersonal service and poor levels of workmanship due to the aggressive bonus orientated pay schemes they operate, and it is not uncommon for customers to bring their cars to us and have sub standard work rectified that these organisation have produced.
Remember, you have a legal choice to have your vehicle repaired by whoever you choose, we hope you choose us, and we can assure you will receive the very best attention, advice and quality repair.
We offer free estimates, while you wait and without an appointment. Simply turn up between 8.00am and 5.30pm and we will prepare a detailed estimate free of charge. The estimate can be faxed by us direct to an insurance company or anyone of your choice, which might speed up the claims process.
With the addition of the very latest in Bodyshop Estimating Systems, we have the capability to produce a comprehensive, detailed estimate which is accepted by all insurance companies. With digital imaging, we can photograph the damage to your vehicle and e-mail it to your insurance company attached to the detailed estimate. This can make the processing of your claim quicker and more efficient.
We are equipped to deal with any size job, from a multi-thousand of pounds accident repair to spraying the cover of a door mirror.
It might be very heavy, medium or light impact accident damage, dents and scrapes of any shape or size, vandal scratches or damage, bumper scuffs, small annoying dents or scratches, or any work that involves replacement or rectification to any body/bumper panels on any car or light commercial vehicle.
We are able to undertake work on behalf on any insurance company. If you are involved in an accident where the repairs are going to be dealt with by an insurance company, be it your insurance company or the third parties insurance company, we can help you deal with the claim to expedite the process.
We will issue an estimate while you wait using the very latest in estimating technology, and process this through the relevant insurance company. Should an engineer wish to inspect your vehicle, we can arrange for this to take place at our premises, and negotiate the repairs with the engineer.
Once the insurance company have issued us with an authority, we can commence the repairs. When the repair is completed, we simply invoice the insurance company directly.
In conjunction with our business partner Helphire PLC and Swift Prestige, we are able to offer a complete service, including like for like replacement vehicle (including prestige vehicles, vans, plated taxis and driving school cars) if you have been involved in a non fault accident.
The emphasis here is to keep the claim away from your own insurance company for the following reasons.
Whilst the initial thought is to pursue a claim through your own insurance company if you have been involved in an accident which was not your fault, it should be understood that by reporting and progressing a claim through your insurance company you are in effect making a claim on your own insurance policy. In doing so you would be responsible for paying your policy excess and would lose your no claims bonus. When your insurance company recover all the money for the claim from the third party insurance company, you would get your excess refunded together with any increase in insurance premium you may have suffered by virtue of a claim sitting on your policy. (As it can sometimes take over a year for your insurance company to recover monies owed by a third party insurance company, you may suffer an increase in premium if the claim has not been settled when your policy is due for renewal. It is worth noting that if you have a "protected no claims bonus" it is only protected with your current insurance company and you have no control over your renewal premium, more importantly, if you decide to shop around for cheaper cover when your policy is due for renewal you would have to record the pending claim and by virtue would not benefit from a full no claims discount.)
Using the services of Helphire PLC or their Prestige Department, Swift, a non–fault accident can be dealt with away from your insurance company. You would have the use of a like for like replacement vehicle whilst your car is in for repairs or off the road if it is unroadworthy, and all costs relating to the repair, car hire, personal accident or uninsured losses would be forwarded to the third party insurance company. As this is not being dealt with by your insurance company you would not have to pay your policy excess and it will not affect your no-claims bonus.
Because we are so confident of the quality of our work, we offer a 5 year guarantee on our workmanship and paint (most insurance companies only offer a 2 year guarantee).
We only fit genuine parts supplied by the relevant motor manufacturers which carry their own, varying warranty, depending on the manufacturer.
The guarantee will not cover the effects of paint scratches, chips, dents or subsequent damage to the repaired areas. It is also important to regularly wax polish your vehicle to preserve the paint finish as failure to do so could render the guarantee void.
We operate a fleet of nearly new courtesy cars which can be loaned free of charge whilst your vehicle is being repaired. The only provisions being that you are over 23 years old, and are able to transfer your Fully Comprehensive insurance to cover the courtesy car whilst it is under your control.
We have two Spray Bake Ovens within which the vehicles are sprayed. Once the vehicle has been sprayed in this controlled and sealed environment, the paint is then baked onto the panel. This replicates the process adopted by the factory when the car is new, and ensures the paint will last as long as the original finish.
Every vehicle has a unique identification plate which records the colour code applicable to the paint applied when the vehicle was new.
Using our fully computerised "Paint Mixing System" and the vehicle paint code, we can mix an exact match of the vehicle colour, using the new generation Water Based Paints. Instead of using harmful solvent, these paints use water technology to produce an extremely high quality product, which not only matches the paint applied at the factory but is also environmentally friendly.
In certain cases a colour code might not be available. In these situations we are still able to achieve a paint colour match. Our paint supplier has a special piece of equipment which is able to take a comprehensive, detailed image of the paint colour and process a colour formulation allowing us to simply mix the paint to the formulation.
Should your vehicle be involved in a serious accident where the body might need re-alignment, we have a Body Jig to do the job. This ensures the body alignment is exact to the correct factory dimensions, leaving the customer confident and at ease that the vehicle has been repaired correctly.
One area we feel we are very good at is looking after the body repair requirements of company car fleets.
For the last thirteen years we have been the approved repairer to one of the countries largest PLC companies, which has given us a broad and wide experience of dealing with corporate clients. We go out of our way to service the needs of all our customers which can make life a little easier for the company fleet manager. In an effort to combat excessive reconditioning charges by leasing companies when a car is returned at the end of a lease, we offer a service which is designed to reduce the fleet owners running costs.
When a car is coming to the end of its lease, after inspecting the vehicle, we can produce a free estimate to bring the car up to the condition that will satisfy the condition terms of the lease. As well as rectifying accident damage, scuffs and dents by conventional repair methods, we are able to remove lighter blemishes, scratches and dents without the need for potentially costly re-spray work. The benefit of adopting this procedure is that you have total control of your running costs, opposed to the leasing company inflicting you with heavy penalties for inflated repair costs when the car has been returned to them.
